I absolutely love the moment when someone first receives a piece I've created for them – that instant of pure delight when they connect with something beautiful and personal.
There's something magical about watching someone's face light up when they receive a piece that was made or selected just for them. This is the heartbeat of 4 the Love of Pretty Things - Creating those moments of joy through handcrafted pieces that speak to the heart, and infuse moments, connections, and space with beauty, love, and joy.
Creative Process
Every morning, I wake up excited to create something beautiful. That's the life force behind 4 the love of pretty things.
When I gather and admire fresh water pearls from the river or naturally sculpted driftwood, I see creative potential for creating and sharing a precious treasure that will bring harmony & delight. The name "4 the Love of Pretty Things" captures the essence of my work. I spend my days with materials that inspire me – soft undyed cotton for macramé, driftwood that I personally gather from Quebec rivers during summer months and lovingly finished with beeswax and special oils, high-quality silver, an array of delicate pearls from lakes and rivers, as well as classic vintage pearls from my grandmother's collection that find new life in the wings of angels. Each material is carefully selected and infused with creative energy and love. I love the process of synthesis – bringing materials together to create something with its own unique balance, harmony, rhythm, and proportion that feels just right.

I believe there’s profound wellness benefits to surrounding ourselves with natural elements – seeing them in our homes and wearing them on our bodies. When we invite these elements into our homes and our daily lives, we elevate and harmonize our beings with the natural world and its exquisite beauty, which connects us more deeply to ourselves, one another and earth – our home. The use of natural and high quality material celebrates classic beauty as well as the beautiful process of sustainability to care for our earth.

Most of my pieces are commission work that I create specifically for you. In creating each piece, I hold the intention of you receiving delight, beauty, love, and joy – this intention gives life force to my creative process. This work allows my heart to express and direct its love in a way that feels free, easeful, light, and full – an authentic expression of my essence. This process of expression needs a direction and that direction is you. Whether creating a piece for you or as a meaningful gift for someone you cherish, this intentional process infuses each creation with special meaning. When you purchase a piece, my joy in creating multiplies, and so my love pours. Each creation – whether it's a pearl necklace, a macramé angel, or a wall hanging – carries that intention of bringing light, love, joy, and beauty into the spaces they inhabit. When you choose one of my creations, you're becoming part of a continuing story of artistry and intention.
